Mali and mordi werzberger - Running for Hope 2024

Wow! I'm so excited to write this post!! everything started on night when I told Mordi I had a dream to run a marathon when I turn 40! he was rolling not nice but I can relate, I never ran a marathon. A week later I already started exercising with Eytan Gafni Naky my running coach. The past year we ran 3 times a week, and you know what it made me feel amazing not only because I was exercising. I found something that helps my soul after the loss of my dear sister Yamit who passed away after battling cancer and left a husband and 4 children and me! I miss her every dingle day! The running was hard at the beginning but when I ran it was the time I can think of her with out distraction. Every time my feet hurt I thought to myself that my heart hurts more and I continued running. When the running's became longer I could think of her, talk to her, I found that it really helped me Dealing with the void created by her death and the never-ending pain. This November, half a year from today, I will find myself on the real track, of the greats. After consulting with Eitan, I decided to join the running team that goes to the New York Marathon for the children of the Shalva organization For 5 years I managed the Shalva rehabilitation center, and I know this brand called Shalva very closely! Shalva is a foundation of light for families and children with special needs, the association's activity is expanding and growing all the time, and gives the most professional, supportive and humane response to families and children, a true VIP for children with special needs from all shades of society's spectrum! For me, the marathon is a double opportunity - not only to prove to myself where I can reach, but also to contribute to a place that really does good in our complex world. A kind of exciting closing of the circle! I decided to be an ambassador for the Shalva Sacconi team for the 2023 New York Marathon!! Mordi is infected with the dream, and joins me as another ambassador for peace! So we dedicate our first marathon to children who really run for life!
