In Latin America, Brazil, Spain and the Caribbean, there are more than 80 cities without a local Jewish school. Jewish children have no other option than to go to non-Jewish schools, and they grow up, in many cases, without any type of knowledge or connection to the Jewish world, traditions and Israel. For this reason, in 2021, Banim Atem School became the first virtual complementary Jewish school for children without access to formal Jewish education, with the recognition of the Directorate of Religious Education of the Ministry of Education of Medinat Israel and the Ministry of the Diaspora. Banim Atem School offers kindergarten, junior and high school levels, giving the opportunity for every jewish child to have access to jewish education according to our traditions, no matter where they are geographically located. At Banim Atem School, children learn Hebrew in levels, Tanach, Jewish history, holidays, traditions, Bat and Bar Mitzvah courses, music and much more, strengthening their Jewish identity and their attachment with Medinat Israel.
