Donors: 58
Meidan Mordechai Keler Baruch, of blessed memory, was a handsome, talented, and exceptional young man. Love of humanity, helping others, and respecting every person were his way. Meidan passed away before his time, at the age of 16 years and 3 days, after being hospitalized in critical condition with collapsed lungs following vaping electronic cigarettes.
"When things go wrong, it's for the best" – this was Meidan's saying, a phrase of hope and faith that even when life goes wrong, it's possible to move forward.
Meidan's approach to life is especially relevant to the youth being cared for in Otot facilities across the country. The youth come to receive a warm and safe home after traumas, loss, and deep crises. Their lives went wrong – but in accordance with Meidan's iconic saying, we believe it's possible to give hope, support, and a helping hand, and show them they are not alone.
Otot Association provides a home, care, and support for young people without family support, through a network of 41 homes across the country – emergency shelters, therapeutic hostels, and young adult apartments. As the holiday approaches, we continue the project in memory of Meidan and ask for help in funding holiday gift cards for every young person living in the organization's facilities.
Donations to this campaign will enable us to give each of them a gift card and thereby convey the important message that there are people who see them and care about their fate, who think about them and care for them.
✨ When someone sees you, there is hope. Join us and make their holiday a little better.
In memory of Meidan Mordechai Kler Baruch, of blessed memory – who believed that when things go wrong, it's for the best.
