Fundraise for Revadim

Kibbutz Revadim was established in Gush Etzion in 1947. During the War of Independence, it was occupied by rioters. Pioneering members were captured and taken as prisoners of war by the Jordanian army. In 1949, the founding membersreestablished the kibbutz in its current location, on the coastal plane, only 40 Kilometres – 25 Miles from Gaza .  Seventy-four years later, the State of Israel is experiencing the most difficult existential threat since it was established. Over 1,400 women, men and children were murdered in the most brutal massacre the Jewish people have known since the Holocaust. 240 innocent civilians were kidnapped and are being held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza; their fate is unknown. In this unprecedented war, Israel's southern border towns and communities, became the frontline as Hamas waged a bloody crusade against civilians residing there. Since October 7, about 100 of our members – sons, daughters, and adults of all ages have joined the war effort –as soldiers, military reservists, or civilian volunteers. Like many in Israel, we mourn one of our own fallen soldiers – Ariel Ohana, 19 years old, who was killed on October 7th in a heroic effort to protect members of kibbutz Be'eri from the terrorists who attacked them on that fateful morning. On the day of the one-month commemoration of the October 7th massacre, and as many of our members are fighting in the front, Kibbutz Revadim is adjusting to the new reality of a frontline community. We have established an emergency squad and a task force that operates 24/7, guarding the kibbutz and its surroundings. We have doctors, social workers, and retired reserve soldiers, all volunteers, that are ready to provide immediate support and medical care in case the kibbutz will be hit by rockets or subject to any ground assault.  As this state of emergency continues, we find ourselves in immediate need of life-saving equipment. This is where we call for your help.  We are short of security and medical supplies such as:  • First aid kits • Doctor’s equipment • Stretches  • Personal radios • Surveillance cameras  • Tactical wear Your generous donation will enable Revadim to purchase emergency equipment needed to  protect and secure of 1,000 members of our community, located just within 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the Gaza strip. Our aim is to  raise an additional 50,000 NIS for the emergency campaign fund - Strengthening Security and Community Resilience at Kibbutz Revadim, Israel. Following in the footsteps of the founding pioneers, our goal is to preserve and protect our flourishing community by protecting our land, our community and our local agriculture. We have no other country.
