The Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin

The LSC is the oldest and largest running non profit servicing the brave young men and women who volunteer to serve in the Israeli Defense Forces IDF. It is the ONLY Israeli non-profit servicing lone soldiers from BOTH Israel and abroad. It falls under the oversight of the Non-Profit Authority within the Israeli Ministry of Justice. Each year the LSC “touches”, or interacts with, approximately 2,000 of the total population of 9,000 lone soldiers serving in the IDF. The LSC hosts community center facilities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Beer Sheva. Events and programs are routinely hosted in these facilities. Moreover, the LSC hosts seven residential facilities scattered around the Greater Jerusalem and Greater Tel Aviv areas. The LSC is well known within Israel. It has been invited more than once to participate and represent the lone soldiers at the Knesset (Israel’s Parliament). Municipalities, such as Beer Sheva, Jerusalem and others, have requested us to create lone soldier facilities in their communities.
