Meshi - The Rehabilitation Center for Children and Youth

MESHI provides comprehensive educational and therapeutic services to children aged six months to 21 years, who face complex motor disabilities. Founded in 1998 by the late Lipsha Feldman, MESHI has grown into a beacon of empowerment and inclusion, guided by the "MESHI Method". This approach is rooted in multidisciplinary functional care, where healthcare and education professionals collaborate continuously to enhance each child's functional abilities and participation. To achieve meaningful results, they develop programs tailored to each child's unique needs, addressing all aspects of their life. Today, MESHI operates five rehabilitative-educational centers, serving nearly 300 children and adolescents. Each child receives the full range of treatments they require—physical, cognitive, educational, emotional, and social. Professional and Holistic Care for Every Child Our primary mission is to provide every child with professional, personalized care - designed to meet their unique needs. Each child and family are supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of professionals, including specialists in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, education, assistive technology, psychology, social work, and more, alongside extensive support staff and senior medical guidance. To make these possible, MESHI funds essential resources beyond standard allocations to ensure effective and individualized care for every child and every disability: Significant expansion of government-funded therapy budgets, increasing access to para-medical treatments by tens or even hundreds of percent for each child. Additional work hours and training to enable seamless, multidisciplinary collaboration among the professional teams. Dozens of permanent positions for professionals and support staff. Procurement of assistive technologies, accessibility tools, and diverse rehabilitative equipment - that are not covered by any external funding. The financial gap resulting from these critical additions and measures amounts to approximately 5,000,000 ILS annually –and we need your support to bridge it.
