YESHIVAT MAALE GILBOA

Yeshivat Maale Gilboa is a pioneer in the yeshiva world, combining intensive Torah studies with full army service. Using a humanistic approach, the Yeshiva educates its students towards ethical sensitivity and a respect for all people. The Yeshiva has taken upon itself the important mission of educating a generation of young Torah scholars who influence Israeli society. As we watch our Alumni take on roles in various social, spiritual and cultural leadership positions throughout the country – we know we have been successful. As a result of our ongoing commitment to be an integral part of Israeli society we developed the unique Shiluv Mishalev Program. In this two year program 10 young men with autism study Torah in the Yeshiva in the afternoons and evenings while also working on a farm in the mornings. This program succeeds in preparing these students for the life challenges they will encounter later on. This program benefits both the students with and without autism as they learn how to live together in the dormitories and in the beit midrash.
