MOSHE – Words that Make a Difference
Protecting Israelis From the Silent War After the War
Since October 7, Israel has been fighting not only on the battlefield but also inside the hearts and minds of its people.
Behind the headlines, a quieter crisis is growing.
🔵 Soldiers and reservists returning home after months of combat.
🔵 Nova survivors carrying unthinkable memories.
🔵 Families displaced from their homes.
🔵 Parents struggling to hold it together for their children.
Experts warn that the real mental-health wave is still ahead. Many will break only once the noise fades and life “returns to normal.”
This is where MOSHE – Words that Make a Difference steps in.
Founded by Gal Nissim-Emanuel after losing her brother to suicide, MOSHE built Israel’s first community-based suicide prevention model, ROOFING. Our trained volunteers and expert staff reach people fast, sit with them, guide their families, and place a protective “roof” around anyone at genuine suicide risk. The approach is simple, human, and highly effective.
In the past year alone, MOSHE supported more than 700 people in severe distress, including soldiers, reservists, Nova survivors, victims of displacement, teens, and parents overwhelmed by trauma.
At a time when Israel’s mental-health system is overloaded, MOSHE is often the only place people can turn to for immediate help.
Your support helps us train more responders, expand our reach, and protect those who carried Israel on their shoulders—and now need us to carry them.
Stand with them.
Stand with Israel.
Help us save lives before the next wave hits.
