The Efrat & Gush Etzion Emergency Medical Center is a vital community resource that provides affordable, quality medical care to a growing population of over 60,000 area residents. Its staff of dedicated doctors are members of the Efrat and Gush Etzion communities who work in Jerusalem’s top hospitals, including Shaarei Tzedek and Hadassah. Many offer their services pro bono to the Medical Center.
At the heart of the Medical Center is its Emergency Care Clinic (“Machar”), which operates after regular office hours. Open daily from 7 pm to 7 am, the Machar treats nearly 5,000 patients a year, a five-fold increase since opening its doors in 2004.
The award-winning Efrat & Gush Etzion Emergency Medical Center is recognized for excellence in care and serves as a model for regional medical centers throughout Israel.
The Efrat & Gush Etzion Emergency Medical Center is a non-for-profit organization.
As the area population continues to grow, so does our patient population. With the blessing of growth comes the challenge of keeping our fees affordable in the face of rising costs. And with an annual budget that exceeds income from the services we provide, the Center relies on the support of its generous donors.
