Dear Friends, Over the past three years an Efrat-Gush Etzion Emergency Center First Response Team has been called into action with every ramming, knifing or shooting by Palestinian terrorists at the nearby Gush Etzion junction. Our ambulance team may be seen on a number of YouTube clips filmed by CCTV security cameras. * These incidents are horrific, but we of the Efrat-Gush Etzion Emergency Medical Center are proud that our First Responders have been there to treat the wounded and have even saved lives. However, the Efrat-Gush Etzion Emergency Medical Center is not just about responding to terror. Our medical clinics and staff operate 24/7 to serve the entire population of the town of Efrat and the Gush Etzion region. Because of the Efrat-Gush Etzion Emergency Medical Center everyone who lives in Efrat of Gush Etzion is able to count on a wide range of on-site medical services, from primary care and laboratory tests, to X-ray and Ultra-Sound, to pharmaceuticals. Patient fees alone do not cover the cost of the care we provide. We receive some support from our volunteers, secret angels who prefer to remain anonymous. Their contribution helps us keep expenses down. But in the face of ever rising costs each year we struggle to keep our fees affordable to all.
