Zion – An Eretz Israeli Community in Jerusalem

Zion – An Eretz Israeli Community in Jerusalem Zion was founded ten years ago in Jerusalem with an invitation to Jews of different backgrounds and religious practices to “come as you are.” Those who choose to accept this invitation share the desire to be part of a community based on friendship and inclusion, as well as a vision for the Jewish people that holds a place for all of us and respects the differences between us. Zion’s activity is based on the four pillars of prayer, study, community and tikkun olam, with a particular emphasis on interfaith activity and spiritual activism. Led by Rabbi Tamar Elad-Appelbaum, together with dedicated community members, staff and lay leaders, Zion works to re-dream Jerusalem as we believe it can be, as generations dreamt it could be: a Jerusalem of shared faith and hope that has a place for all believers who are committed to the values of goodwill, mutual respect and solidarity with humankind.
