About the Central Foundation for Religious, Educational and Cultural Institutions of the Religious kibbutz Movement
The Religious Kibbutz Movement is a religious Zionist movement. There are currently 24 kibbutzim and collective moshavim in the movement, totaling approximately 20,000 people. The Movement aims are: Sustaining a life based on faith in the Torah that was given to the Jewish people, and observance of its precepts, while incorporating modern cultural values within the foundations of Torah. A society committed to valuing all people equally, promoting the status of women and fairness for all people. A society living from the fruits of its labor which it considers to be a fundamental value. A society that respects all work that contributes to the building of the world. A society that sustains a democratic way of life, fulfilling Zionism's goals of settling the land, and building it materially and spiritually. Regarding itself as committed to active involvement and responsibility for the Jewish community, the State of Israel and the entire Jewish people. The economy of the Religious Kibbutz movement relies on agriculture, industry and tourism. In recent years, several religious kibbutz communities have experienced a trend of moderate privatization, like all communities in the kibbutz movement. The economic situation of the majority of the religious kibbutz movement members is stable and healthy.
