The Makshivim association was founded in order to support people in times of crisis, people who do not necessarily have the possibility to meet with a professional for economic, or social reasons. This is a need for over 600,000 people in Israel who in practice make daily use of this type of service.
The organization offers two main activities aimed at psychological assistance, improving well-being, and providing support in times of crisis. First, the organization operates internet chat services and a telephone line which are active 24/7 to provide mental assistance to people who are in a state of mental distress and require immediate support. The service is operated by a team of skilled volunteers in the field of mental health who have undergone appropriate training. Beyond that, Makshibim offers personal therapy sessions on a weekly basis to patients at no cost in which they are given a more focused and professional treatment by qualified therapists.
We are currently fully dedicated to the communities and people affected by the war.
