Supporting Reserve Families

"Nefesh Barzel" Fund - Strengthening IDF Reservists’ Families When they go on reserve duty, hearts break twice. When a family member goes on reserve duty, they fight on the frontlines, while their family fights in their hearts. Fear, anxiety, loneliness, and stress intertwine, and each day brings the looming threat of loss and trauma that can last for years. IDF reservists’ families carry not only the duty of service. They pay a heavy price, both emotionally and financially. They experience their children’s emotional wounds, mental strains, and the isolation caused by the conflict. Each day brings new fears that accompany the family over time. This is where the "Nefesh Barzel" (Iron mental) Fund steps in. The “Nefesh Barzel” Fund, established at the outbreak of Operation Iron Swords by Makshivim - Listeners and partner foundations, with the mission of providing immediate, professional, and long-term mental health support to victims of terror and reservists’ families. Our vision: To preserve the mental resilience of anyone affected - for them and their family. We provide free psychological treatment and psychosocial support to reservists’ families - approximately 28 therapy sessions, including: • 12 psychological sessions for children • 6 parent guidance sessions • 10 parent support group sessions To date, we have already supported 250 families. In the initial phase, we aim to reach an additional 500 families and more, thanks to donations. We invite you to take responsibility for one family, whose recovery will forever be credited in your name. Every donation holds a comforting hand and brings light to those on the frontlines and at home. Together, we can embrace, listen, and support. Every contribution helps families who give their lives for the State of Israel and pay a heavy price.
