Beit Micha is the largest organization in Israel dedicated to caring for infants and children who are deaf or hard of hearing, from birth until they enter first grade, for nearly 70 years. Beit Micha serves as the first stop for parents who discover, often while still in the hospital, that their child has a hearing impairment. The organization’s multidisciplinary center provides comprehensive support under one roof for the child and their family, involving all professionals engaged in the rehabilitation and treatment process. This includes speech therapists, audiologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and an educational-therapeutic team comprising special education kindergarten teachers, assistants, and art therapists. Beit Micha's high-quality care is tailored to all sectors of the population—Jews, Arabs, religious, and secular alike. Currently, the organization supports over 700 children and their families annually. The organization’s vision is to equip every deaf and hard-of-hearing child with the tools to develop communication skills, language acquisition, personal growth, and equal opportunities for full integration into society. Approximately 88% of Beit Micha’s graduates transition into regular first-grade classrooms within the mainstream education system and achieve remarkable academic success. It is thanks to your generosity and commitment that we can continue our vital work, creating a brighter future for the children and families of Beit Micha.
