Merima Fights For a Democratic Israel

Merima works to build an involved, active, and solidary LGBTQ+ Israeli community through culture, education, community building, and activism. Founded in 2021 by IGY alumni (Israeli LGBTQ+ youth Organization), Merima has been running several programs focused on expanding knowledge and awareness on social, political and democratic issues. Since Jan 2023, under Israel’s current government, Merima has opened lectures for the public, living room talks with hundreds of LGBTQ+ young adults and unique programs on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, shared society, liberal democracy and organizing. This year will determine whether Israel remains a place where all Jews can see themselves, belong, and build a future. Help us mobalize the change.
