Support art and artists in Haifa

As freelance artists running an independent art school, we have suffered a tremendous financial loss which puts the future of both us personally and our project in question. We ask for your support to ensure the future of our art school and of the wide and vibrant artistic community it caters. We operate as a cooperative of eight professional artists who teach and manage the project.  In 2016 we opened ‘Ha Neviim’ art school which is located in the Hadar neighborhood in Haifa, and offers professional lessons and workshops in painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking to ca. 80 adult students.  We have a professional artist program which includes 10 studio spaces, exhibition opportunities, professional workshops and support for emerging and professional artists. We make a point of reaching out to the community by offering sketching events, lectures, exhibitions and art events, which cater an additional audience of ca. 400 people.  Due to the state of national emergency we decided to encourage our students and a wider audience to take part in artistic activities as a way of processing the events and the news, and a safe and creative outlet to their feelings.  Our activity during these past few week has been: 1. Offering a wide range of subsidized art workshops, both online and in person. Our schedule includes 15 weekly art classes for adults of 3 hours each class.  2. Art workshops for children and children with their parents both at our space and in shelters in the neighborhood. Please help us help others.
