Support groups, through photography, for residents of the Gaza Strip

Initiating support and empowerment for groups of individuals from displaced communities affected by the October 7th massacre, this project introduces the PHOTO VOICE methodology. Specifically designed for self-documentation, this approach aims to provide emotional response, resilience, and empowerment through visual tools, fostering connections and rebuilding identity within the dispersed communities. The program encourages open and honest verbal and visual expression of thoughts and feelings in a group setting, promoting positive and empowering thinking skills. Conducted by trained facilitators, participants engage in practical photography, capturing their lives and experiences for self-documentation, leading to an exhibition showcasing their voices. Accessible to everyone, regardless of age or background, the project compiles participants' photographic work into an exhibit displayed within the community and culminates in a nationwide concluding exhibition. Having initiated work with 15 groups of teenagers and adults from various settlements in the past month, the project faces high demand. We invite donations to expand our reach and open 30 groups nationwide. All donations are duly recognized according to Article 46.
