PHOTO IS:RAEL is a public benefit company that has been operating for the last decade, realizing its vision to amplify the voices of diverse communities through photography to create significant change. The social activity is based on the PHOTO VOICE method, which specializes in the use of visual tools for emotional-social-experiential expression and conveying the message of the individual and the group. The unique language acquired during the activity - photography, allows for a dialogue that helps with self and community empowerment and resilience development. The activity encourages the ability to express feelings and thoughts verbally and visually in an honest and open manner within the group context, and imparts skills of positive and empowering thinking. As part of the activity, participants learn the language of photography, experience practical photography that expresses their lives and experiences, and present an exhibition of their personal and inner statement. The program invites empowerment, development of emotional-social abilities, amplification of voice, involvement, and enjoyment! PHOTO IS:RAEL has a proven track record in emergency operations and has collaborated with several esteemed organizations, including the Coalition for Trauma, Natal, the Resilience of Our Children, the Kibbutz Movement, Anush, the Ministry of Education, Ilan, Akim, Joint Eshel, and the Yad Labanim organization, among others. Over recent years, the organization has engaged with over 10,000 participants, encompassing men, women, children, and adults in hundreds of communities across the country.
