The 7/10 created a complexity that the State of Israel had not known before and brought with it a complex dealing with difficult and significant events for all citizens of the State of Israel, and in particular for the IDF fighters. Shahar Association believes in the ability of the younger generation to change and influence the future of Israeli society and recognizes the liberation period as a critical period for shaping resilience and strength personal and as a significant junction which determines the continuation of the path and the building of the personal, professional path together with a connection to the country. In light of this, the association sees great importance and value in processing the experiences of fighting together, near the end of the military service. This period of time allows all those fighters who gave of themselves for the country To close a circle in an optimal way, and to break free from the military framework not only in body, but also in mind, to prevent scarring and dealing with post-trauma that may erupt later down the road.During April 2024, the association held a pilot processing trip in Greece to which four teams of fighters from the Golani and Nahal brigades went. The four teams were about to be released on 7.10, some of them were already during the release holiday, but were called to the flag in light of the attack that hit the country, and continued directly from regular service To the reserves deep in the heart of Gaza. At the beginning we noticed the difficulty of speaking emotion, pain and difficulties at these ages, and the understanding that this ability is like a muscle that needs to be strengthened and nurtured from a young age, we saw how this muscle begins to develop and at the end of it, those fighters cherished the process they went through, the ability theirs to talk about the difficult sights they saw and the complex experiences that accompany them, and even though they went through them together, each of them perceives them differently. Through the journey, they were able to get a 360-degree picture of the experience they went through and piece together the puzzle of their combat experience. Unfortunately, these journeys are still not recognized and subsidized by the state, and we would like to implement and formalize the pilot that we did and was crowned a success, thus reaching as many fighting teams as possible who, as of now, took part in the southern front in the war of iron swords, and this is where you come into the picture. With the help of donations and good people along the way, we were able to carry out the pilot, and we must continue to raise funds so that we can carry out these trips. The cost of each fighter who goes on a journey is 3,500 NIS and the cost of an entire team is estimated at 50,000 NIS. We will be grateful for a donation of any amount, and together we will work for all those fighters, and for the resilience of the State of Israel.
