To be Israeli is to understand that our past was written in sacrifice, the present in action, and the future – in our hands, together.
This is not another story from history – this is your story, ours, of the people of Israel
An exciting and powerful journey by full moon light that begins in Latrun and ends with sunrise at the Western Wall in a moving shiva ceremony.
This is the moment when theory becomes a real experience – when young people walk exactly the same paths that the warriors walked, breathe the same air and feel the weight of responsibility that passes to them.
Accompanied by the Duvdevan warriors, they not only learn about the past but are committed to the future. This is the place where the deepest understanding of what it means to be part of this great story is born
Over 2000 participants a year leave there different people – with a connection to their roots, a commitment to values and a determination to act.
The journey will lead participants through significant heritage sites, powerful experiences, and memories that will connect them to the identity and values of the Jewish people.
Touching the past – planting roots for the future.
What the journey includes:
Zionist values and love of the land - meaningful meetings and a dialogue of values between the youth, the families of the fallen, and the fighters of the unit.
Mutual kindness and mutual guarantee - a challenging and formative journey from the throne through heritage sites and significant battle sites.
Memory and "eulogy" - a moving memorial ceremony on Mount Herzl and a march through the streets of Jerusalem.
From crisis to resurrection - a special shiva ceremony at the Western Wall plaza, accompanied by the song of hope.
The "Laorem" journey will take place on the days of the 4th-5th, 30/4-1/5/2026, 13th-14th of Iyar 5776, and will be attended by groups composed of young men and women from a wide range of the population who will come from pre-military preparatory schools, high schools, youth movements, military preparation frameworks, frameworks for youth with disabilities, and more. The youth will be accompanied by fighters from the Duvdevan unit.
In light of the period we are going through as a nation and a country, the desire and need to be worthy of the dedication of the fighters and the desire to instill the values of Judaism, Zionism and mission among the younger generations has increased and has taken on national significance.
The journey is a complex, unique, special and expensive logistical project that leaves a significant mark in the heart of everyone who takes part in it. In the activity, participants are exposed to the world of Jewish values: responsibility, mutual guarantee, giving, Zionism and love of the land that lead to influence and building a better society with more Zionist values. More.
