In the aftermath, more than one and a half million people with disabilities have faced unprecedented challenges. In addition, tens of thousands of individuals who were injured during the conflict have been left with physical or mental disabilities, some of which will last for the rest of their lives. The war has significantly expanded the circle of people living with disabilities, bringing them into sharper focus within both the public sphere and Israeli society. If you pause to think about it, most of us know someone—either directly or through a friend—who lives with a disability. For over 30 years, the Bizchut organization has been at the forefront of advocating for the human rights of people with disabilities in Israel, working tirelessly across all areas of life to ensure their rights are upheld and their voices heard.People with disabilities are an integral and essential part of society. The fight for their rights is not only their fight but ours as well, as we all strive toward a more just, equal, and reformed society. As in every challenge we face, Bizchut is actively working to protect and promote the rights of people with disabilities during this war.
