There are moments in life when a single encounter changes everything. A moment when a child experiencing loneliness meets a true friend who listens. A moment when a young volunteer realizes the power they have to make an impact. A moment when a family feels they are not alone. These moments happen every day at Friendship Circle Jerusalem, an organization that drives real social change by integrating children and teenagers with special needs into a warm and loving community. At Friendship Circle, friendship is not just a concept – it is a daily experience. Through programs like "Friends at Home," summer and winter camps, Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations, and holiday activities, we create a space where hundreds of children with special needs can feel like they truly belong. This past year has only strengthened our mission. In addition to our ongoing activities, we have expanded our support to include displaced families, injured soldiers, and families of hostages. We recognize that loneliness is not limited to those with special needs – it affects anyone in search of a real community to embrace them in difficult times. To continue and expand our work, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign to fund the core programs at the heart of our organization – summer and winter camps, Bar and Bat Mitzvah programs, holiday events, and activities that connect and empower communities. Additionally, donations will help us continue providing support to displaced families and those affected by the war – including injured soldiers, bereaved families, and families of hostages. Your support will enable us to offer them a warm embrace, a genuine support network, and moments of joy and belonging amid an incredibly complex reality.
