Strengthening Solidarity – Building a Future of Peace The events of October 7, in which Israelis were massacred and many were kidnapped, deepened the wounds in Israeli-Palestinian relations. While Israel’s necessary security response unfolded, we have also witnessed a rise in extreme violence from a small but dangerous group targeting Palestinians and Bedouins across the West Bank. In the Bethlehem area, after months of theft, threats, and destruction, events on the night of Tu BiShvat spiraled out of control: shepherding families were attacked, children were injured, armed men entered residences, property was vandalized, and unbearable fear forced five families to abandon their homes. In this place of pain and destruction, Roots-Judur is working to heal and rebuild. We are now raising 90,000 ILS to fund a series of solidarity actions: renovation and reconstruction efforts, strengthening security, and fostering connections between Israelis and Palestinians. Every donation – large or small – will help restore a sense of security, rebuild communities, and shine light in the face of darkness.
