The Family Nursery Was Destroyed – Help Us Rebuild It On Memorial Day, Wednesday, April 30th, a massive fire broke out, consuming over 20,000 dunams of nature. At the heart of the fire was the family business, "Pollack Nurseries," established 38 years ago in Mesilat Zion, along the historic Burma Road. The nursery spanned about seven dunams and served gardeners, nature enthusiasts, and greenery lovers from all over the country for decades. It was more than just a business – it was a life’s work, a green, living, breathing home built through hard work, dedication, and love. The fire destroyed everything built over the years – the greenhouses, the plants, all the infrastructure – everything was burned. But the love for what we do and our belief in the path we are on remain intact. We don’t want this to be the end of our story, and we have decided to rebuild the nursery.
