House of Wheels Sumer Camp 2025

Summer camps 2023 – Making Dreams Come True For the campers, our children and youth with complex physical disabilities, the ability to be like everyone else passes through the House of Wheels. We set ourselves the goal of breaking limitations for accessible, fun, and loving summer camps. The Summer Camps of the House of Wheels are an opportunity to break through the limits of the disability, to go out of our comfort zones and go for five full days of adventure, experience, challenge, joy, and belonging. Every year thousands of children and teenagers in Israel go out for exciting and varied summer activities, each of the young groups goes to a summer camp that lasts 5 consecutive days and includes accommodation and activities. The camps are a highlight of the annual activity of the House of Wheels and allow campers to visit far-away places they have never been before, gain special experiences, face new challenges, break boundaries and make dreams come true. The children's participation in the camp for during the week allows their families to take a break from the daily intensive care, pay attention to the other family members and gain new strength. The summer camp program is built by the campers and the instructors jointly. We believe in the integration of the campers in the process so that even in the future they can leave home independently, get to know the country and travel in it. As an integral part of the camp program, each group chooses a volunteer activity (preparing gift packages and distributing them to IDF soldiers, activities for hospitalized children, etc.). This is one of our ways to show our commitment to be "equal among equals" and give back to the community. For many families, the ability to give their children experiences of this type is a dream come true both financially and in terms of appeals of mental strength and accessibility.
