Tree of Knowledge

We, the participants of the Hadar pre-military leadership academy of Ein Prat, located in Kibbutz Sufa and named in memory of Hadar Goldin z”l, are launching a unique fundraising project as we approach the end of our year at the academy. The project aims to establish the "Tree of Knowledge" – a unique learning space built under a lone tree. Designed as a transparent and and inviting “aquarium-style” room, this space will serve as an open library and study center for both the academy’s participants and the renewing kibbutz community, becoming a hub for in-depth study, dialogue, and learning for years to come. Since October 7, 2023, Kibbutz Sufa has been evacuated, and it is expected to return to full activity this coming summer. In the meantime, we—the academy participants—have been living in the kibbutz on our own since September 1, 2024, continuing full academy life: deep study, training for IDF service, Krav Maga, treks, Shabbat experiences, and regular visits to the displaced Sufa community now located in Ramat Gan and Ofakim. At the same time, we volunteer daily in the region—helping clear homes, supporting local farmers, and more. We see ourselves as an integral part of the civil effort to rebuild life here—and we are not giving up. Out of responsibility, hope, and a spirit of action, we invite you to join us in establishing this special learning space—a gift for the kibbutz and for future generations of academy participants.
