Supporting The Equalizer - Sport for education, equality and social cohesion for Israel’s society

My name is Yaniv Dajman. This summer, as part of my trip to Israel, I’ve chosen to support The Equalizer (Sha’ar Shivyon) — a nonprofit organization that harnesses the power of sports to promote education, equality, and social cohesion across Israeli society. As a student-athlete, I understand firsthand how important sports are to a child’s development. Sport allows people to connect in unique ways by building lifelong friendships and teaching valuable life lessons. I love sports, especially soccer, and I care about Israel. This became especially important to me after the attacks on October 7 and the war that Israel has been fighting ever since. This summer, I’ll be competing in the Maccabi Games in Israel, and I wanted to find a meaningful way to give back. After researching many organizations, I found one that perfectly aligns with my passions: The Equalizer, an organization that combines my passion for soccer with my commitment to making Israel a better place. The Equalizer is dedicated to giving Israeli children from all backgrounds – and especially under-resourced areas – the chance to be part of a sport-education empowering framework. While having fun, they learn about team-building and make connections with kids from backgrounds different from their own. For my project, I’m raising funds to support children from families affected by the war, giving them the opportunity to join The Equalizer and play soccer in a positive, supportive environment.I hope you’ll join me in helping The Equalizer to make this happen!
