Supporting The Equalizer - Sport for education, equality and social cohesion for Israel’s society

My name is Eitan Berger, and I am preparing for my Bar Mitzvah on June 14, 2025. As many of you know, my family and I are traveling to Israel next week to celebrate my bar mitzvah.  Given the aftermath of October 7th, we wanted to undertake a service project to help those affected by the war.  We were lucky enough to find an amazing organization that combines that goal with one of the things I am most passionate about, soccer, with a program called The Equalizer.   The Equalizer is dedicated to giving Israeli children from all backgrounds – and especially under-resourced areas – the chance to play sports. While having fun, they learn about team-building and make connections with kids from backgrounds different from their own.   On June 26th, we will be spending the morning with the amazing kids participating in this cool organization. In honor of my Bar Mitzvah and the Jewish tradition of tzedakah, I’m raising funds to help children of families affected by the war get the opportunity to play soccer through The Equalizer.
