The Or HaNer Leadership Program - The academy's goal is to develop people to take responsibility for the fate of the Jewish people, its tradition and culture, to formulate a vision for its future, while responding to the needs of the time and place. The program's purpose is to develop people to take responsibility for the fate of the Jewish people, its tradition and culture, to formulate a vision for its future, while responding to the needs of the time and place, and thereby shape the character of the worthy Jewish-Israeli. The program serves as a center of leadership, spirit, and action for wide circles of influence: the kibbutz youth, kibbutz families, Sha'ar HaNegev, and all residents of the Gaza envelope. The preparatory program focuses on studying the precious heritage of the Jewish people, particularly the Bible, Talmudic literature, Hebrew and Zionist literature. The study will take place in the Beit Midrash, emphasizing personal and experiential learning, as well as through tours and field trips. For the sake of meaningful learning and getting to know the land in its breadth and length, we are raising scholarships for students who want to take part in the program but lack the financial means. Fundraising to assist Gaza envelope residents who experienced real difficulties after October 7th, connecting and volunteering by preparatory program students and collaborations with the kibbutz community, children and youth of the envelope, taking responsibility for the challenges of the hour, volunteering with the elderly population, southern farmers and more - realizing many dreams through action, education, developing capability, resilience and fulfilling dreams!
