Operation Rising Lion: Inclusive Support for Youth of All Abilities

In the aftermath of Operation Rising Lion, the war may be paused—but the crisis is far from over. More than 9,000 people have been displaced in just two weeks. 36 new evacuee centers have opened nationwide to shelter families whose homes were destroyed by Iranian missile fire. Across the country, over 17,000 families of children with disabilities now have one or both parents serving in the reserves—leaving children without routine, support, or stability. Already, 250 new families have turned to Krembo Wings for help. We’re stepping in—where others can’t. Right now, we’re launching an urgent, inclusive response by mobilizing our Krembo Wings’ youth members of all abilities to lead meaningful support efforts across the country: • Home visits for children with disabilities who are isolated or have parents on active duty. • Support for children with and without disabilities in newly opened evacuee centers. • Partnerships with municipalities to fill critical gaps with trained youth volunteers, emotional support, and inclusive care.
