Volunteer Delegation to Uganda - helpUp

Mission BARAKA (meaning "Blessing" in Swahili) is a humanitarian volunteer mission operating under the HelpUp organization. This coming Hanukkah, the mission will depart for Uganda to show that even when times are hard and dark, we know how to light up the world 💫🌟. Our goal is to make a positive impact on the education and health of children in underprivileged communities. The mission consists of 40 dedicated volunteers working tirelessly to provide aid to those in need. Among the mission’s objectives: • Improving education quality – renovating village schools, providing essential equipment, and working alongside local pedagogical staff. • Improving local nutrition – encouraging residents to consume available foods to address nutritional deficiencies (student and parent workshops, practical cooking sessions, planting vegetable gardens). • Improving drinking water infrastructure. • Women’s empowerment. • Promoting sports and community development – helping the local community in many ways. All of this is done with the aim of enhancing the health and well-being of children. Your contribution to Mission BARAKA will help pave the way for meaningful change in the lives of children in need in Africa, and foster a culture of giving and volunteerism within the Israeli community.
