Point of View Each of us has a unique point of encounter with difficult events. This encounter is deeply personal, even when it is part of a collective story, a story that is dynamic and constantly evolving. As we look toward a better future, the guiding question becomes: do we, as human beings, have any influence over how this story unfolds? Can we steer the encounter with complex events toward a place that leaves us stronger, wiser, more empathetic, and more aware? Is trauma only an ending point, or can it also be the beginning of something new? The Point of View workshops draw on the strength, resilience, and hope of Holocaust survivors, aiming to recognize and amplify forces of growth. Their purpose is to offer tools for finding meaning during challenging times. These workshops include guided viewing of filmed encounters between Holocaust survivors and survivors of the October 7 attacks. They take place in a facilitated group setting, emphasizing personal insights and the collective group process. Through open dialogue and the use of visual and narrative tools, participants explore individual and shared understandings of coping, resilience, and hope. The goal is for participants to leave with a sense of inner strength, belonging, and an understanding that personal growth can emerge even from profound rupture.
