In Memory of Shalev Zvuluny z"l

Shalev Zvuluny, of blessed memory, was more than just a student at Ein Carmit Educational Residence. He came to us as a 9th grader, a young boy with a big smile, and spent four amazing years as a student with Ein Carmit as his home, and two more years in our alumni housing. Shalev was funny, friendly, and with a large presence, the kind of person you can't miss, can't forget. He knew how to make us laugh even in the hardest moments, how to create connections between people, how to let light into every space he was in. Ein Carmit was a significant part of Shalev's life story, and he was an inseparable part of the human landscape and beating heart of the residence. On July 10, 2025, Shalev was murdered in Gush Etzion in a vicious terror attack, when two terrorists attacked him and, with violence and hatred, cut the thread of a young life, full of hopes and future dreams. Shalev's murder left behind a deep vacuum—within his family, among his friends, and at Ein Carmit. He was cruelly taken away from us, just for being who he was, and this pain that fills us, also brings with it a great need to do something that will carry forward with us his legacy, name and values. In honor of Shalev, we wish to established a memorialization corner including a sitting area – a warm and inviting place that will reflect Shalev's sprit, a place for friendship conversation, laughter and relaxation, a place where students could sit together, just as Shalev liked to do, remembering that human beings and human encounters are at the center of every educational institution. Your donation will help us memorialize Shalev in a meaningful way that aligns with his values, a living memory that will continue to be a light and a force for connection and impact, for many years to come.
