Otot - A home for girls at risk

On August 31st 2019, the door will be closed in a step up apartment, and two young women, ages 18 and 19, with no family support - for whom this apartment was a source of stability, security and hope - will have to evacuate, end up in the street and the unknown.   This apartment is part of a step up project. The project was established for boys and girls at risk, who reaches the age of 18 and were forced to leave the familiar and protective hostel environment and go out to face "The Real Life." The purpose of the project is to assist their integration in to society by providing apartments.   The boys and girls receive a key to the apartment for which they do not pay rent or municipal taxes, but are responsible for all other living expenses. It provides a safe environment for them to start facing life’s challenges, but not entirely on their own. We, at the AOTOT Association, prepare, develop, empower and support these young, with no family, individuals. We act tirelessly to enable them a full and courageous life.   It has been proven that when these young men and women - who arrive frightened and detached from the world - gather themselves and learn to lead a completely "ordinary" life - we all win!   On 31.08.2019 this project may come to an end, but we will not stop until we reach our goal and save their home!   Your contribution, with the simple push of a button, will enable us to meet our target of 28,800 NIS, and will prevent the expulsion of the young women, who have been fighting for their survival from childhood, from a home which is their source of hope, power and the opportunity to be equal in our society.   Thanks!
