"Learning with a Breather" – A New Education Center for At-Risk Girls in Crisis A dedicated, dignified education center designed to give at-risk girls in crisis a real opportunity to fulfill their potential – and a stepping stone toward social mobility and a better future. About Etnachta Girls: "Etnachta Girls" is an emergency program run by Otot for girls ages 12-18 in crisis situations. Located in Jerusalem, the program provides temporary housing for approximately 120 girls annually and offers trauma-informed emergency support. During their stay, nearly all the girls attend the program's education center. The Current Situation: The education center currently operates out of a public bomb shelter – a temporary, makeshift space that doesn't allow the girls to learn in appropriate conditions. They have no space of their own, no learning atmosphere, and no environment that conveys the message that their education matters. Your donations will enable us to: • Establish a dedicated learning center to replace the public shelter – a dignified space where girls can learn in proper conditions. • Create personal learning stations and an adapted physical environment that sends the girls a clear message: your education matters. • Build a supportive learning atmosphere that helps girls close gaps, catch up on material, and prepare to return to an educational track.
