Peace Bearer

"Peace Bearer" is an initiative that has been working in Masafer Yatta, in the South Hebron Hills, since 2007. Since October 7, there has been a significant deterioration in the lives of local residents, as a result, we have expanded and increased our activities in order to respond to the many needs arising within the Masafer communities. The foundation of our work is the desire to cultivate a consciousness of peace and the understanding that everyone who lives in this land has the right to live with dignity, with a connection to the land, without violence, and with a sense of safety. Today, these are the organization’s main activities. Donated funds support their continuation: 1. Coming regularly to Masafer Yatta and meeting with residents in order to support them and help amplify their voices to the wider public. 2. Support with equipment 3. Strengthening local livelihood opportunities—supporting agricultural initiatives, construction, and other initiatives that generate income for Palestinian residents. 4. Protective presence—staying overnight with Palestinian residents who are experiencing attacks and harassment. 5. Supporting and strengthening local Palestinian activists who work on behalf of their communities. 6. Reimbursement of expenses for Israeli activists.
