Adopt a Child

In Beit Shemesh, many children are not lacking potential - they are lacking opportunity. When families struggle to afford school fees, supplies, hot meals, and enrichment activities, children are the ones left behind. They miss out on trips, extracurricular programs, meaningful educational experiences, and the basic sense of belonging that every child deserves. Keren Shemesh’s Adopt a Child campaign is designed to give these children a meaningful support system that allows them to learn, grow, and feel included. This support includes school fees and supplies, daily hot meals, extracurricular activities, educational trips, and birthday gifts that provide not only practical help, but also dignity, belonging, and hope. Each year, the program operates in 8 schools in Beit Shemesh and supports 215 children. Over the years, it has already helped more than 1,000 children, serving as a stable and meaningful framework for children and families across the city. We are now seeking to expand the project so that more children can receive the educational, social, and day-to-day support they need. The cost is $1,000 per child per year, and this support can open the door for each child to receive real opportunity, a sense of belonging, and a better path forward. Together, we can give more children in Beit Shemesh the opportunity, support, and future they deserve.
