A Thousand Hearts for Every Heartless Act

By IDF Widows and Orphans Organization

Turn one act of cruelty into a thousand acts of care.

Donors: 3

“You deserve that your husband fell in battle”: the disgraceful incident in Kfar Saba A customer who lost her husband in combat in the Gaza Strip arrived with her young children at a sports store in a local mall and became involved in an argument with a security guard—who hurled shocking words at her. “How can anyone say something so cruel? It’s simply unimaginable.”This terrible incident happened on Sunday and left us all shocked and angry. We can respond, argue, and be outraged—and we must ensure that cases like this never happen again. But we can also choose a different path: to spread light. For every heartless act, there will be a thousand people who choose to increase the good in the world—and help us support, strengthen, and bring moments of joy to the hundreds of young children who have joined our community since October 7. You can read more about our efforts to support these children here: https://www.idfwo.org/early-ch... The committee is chaired by Michal Zmora, an early childhood expert and the widow of Superintendent Arnon Zmora, who was killed during the military operation in Gaza to rescue hostages that was named in his honor. A contribution to this campaign will not only strengthen our ability to support widows and orphans—it will also send a clear and powerful message: they are not alone. We are all here with them.
