Supporting Fabian's Family

By Amutat Kaima

Fabian built a future for others. Now we must ensure his family's future.

Last month, the world lost a truly remarkable person when Fabian Bulugu passed away. He was 47.   Anyone who met Fabian, even briefly, will remember him as a warm, gentle, big-hearted man who believed that the world could be different and spent his life proving it. With his academic background, practical experience, and farmer's heart, he dedicated himself to expanding opportunities for rural youth with little access to formal education through the power of agricultural work. He was also deeply connected to Israel and Israelis: he studied at the Hebrew University, lived and worked in the country, and through Kaima Tanzania, which he founded in his beloved Mwanza, he brought Israel and Tanzania together, breathing new life into older partnerships.   Ashankira (Mama Louisi) was Fabian's wife and the mother of his three sons — Louis (17), Daniel (14), and Elvis (9). In an instant, she became a widow and sole provider for her family.   This is the moment they need us most, as things are about to get harder. Your support will have both an immediate and long-term impact by:   • Easing the immediate economic pressure on Ashankira • Keeping the children in school • Covering health insurance • Teaching Ashankira new skills and providing start-up funds to support the family long term   Your support can give the family what Fabian no longer can: security and stability. Help us make sure they still have a future by empowering them as he empowered others.   Every contribution matters. All donations will be collected and transferred in full to Ashankira through Amutat Kaima, a network of therapeutic farms that provides vocational training and skill development for vulnerable youth. Fabian founded Kaima Matanel Tanzania, building on that original model. Over nearly a decade, his efforts provided a lifeline for hundreds of high-risk Tanzanian youth, directing them toward more positive futures.   We are Fabian's friends. Our goal is to give his family the strong start they need as they face life without him. There shall never be another like Fabian. May his memory be a blessing.
