Volunteer Delegation to Uganda - helpUp

In August 2026, we will travel to Uganda as part of a delegation of approximately 44 volunteers with big hearts and warm smiles, embarking on a meaningful mission made up of many small actions that can create a lasting impact. Our delegation will travel to the Jinja District in Uganda. The village we will visit faces severe poverty, unemployment, teenage pregnancies, child labor, and high school dropout rates. As part of our mission, we will work at the local school, which serves approximately 500 students aged 4–17. The school's conditions are far from ideal, and there is an urgent need to improve and renovate its facilities. Our Planned ProjectsRenovation and Infrastructure Improvements • Connecting the school to water infrastructure • Building access pathways • Creating new rainwater collection systems • Constructing additional learning and enrichment spaces throughout the school • And much more Educational Activities We will provide educational programs designed to equip children with valuable life skills. At the same time, we will work with teachers and staff, sharing knowledge and tools to help establish a stronger and more sustainable educational foundation that will continue long after our volunteer work has ended. Community Support We will lead meaningful community projects and assist families in the village who are facing significant economic hardship. For Us, “The Sky Is (Not) the Limit”!A Little About UsHELPUP is a non-profit organization that has been organizing volunteer missions to Africa for the past six years. Our current delegation consists of approximately 44 volunteers from across Israel, all united by one common goal: to reach an underserved community in Africa and help create a brighter future. Each volunteer fully funds their own participation in the mission, including flights and accommodation. Therefore, your support is crucial and directly impacts the work we can accomplish on the ground. The funds we raise will be used to purchase the materials and equipment needed for our projects, including: • Construction materials and renovation tools • School supplies • Arts and crafts materials for educational activities • Bedding, sheets, and mattresses for families in need • Wheelchairs and maternity beds to improve healthcare services within the village Every donation, no matter the size, can make a meaningful difference. We are committed to ensuring that every contribution received will be used exclusively for our work in Uganda, including purchasing supplies for the children and supporting the planned projects at the school and throughout the community. How Can You Help?We invite you to become part of this mission of kindness, generosity, and hope by contributing whatever you can. What may seem like a small contribution to us can mean the world to them. Together, we have an opportunity to create real and lasting change. Now is the time to open our hearts—and make it happen together. ❤️
