House of Wheels Sumer Camp 2026

Making Dreams Come True
Ends: 21:00
Beit HaGalgalim's summer camps are much more than a vacation. For children and youth with physical disabilities, they are a unique opportunity to push beyond limitations, experience independence, build meaningful friendships, and discover new confidence in their abilities.
For five full days, Beit HaGalgalim groups take part in residential summer camps that include overnight accommodations, outdoor activities, excursions, challenges, and enriching experiences designed together with the participants themselves. The camp is the highlight of the annual program, providing each participant with opportunities that often seem out of reach – sleeping away from home, overcoming new challenges, making decisions independently, exploring new places, and experiencing a true sense of belonging.
Each group consists of approximately 15 children and youth with physical disabilities, accompanied by a dedicated team of counselors and volunteers in a similar ratio, ensuring that every participant receives the support, encouragement, and confidence needed to try new things, take risks, and succeed. Every summer, 21 Beit HaGalgalim groups embark on camps across Israel, with each group shaping its own program according to its dreams, interests, and goals.
The camp program is developed collaboratively by participants and counselors, reflecting our belief that involvement in planning, decision-making, and choosing activities is an essential part of building independence, responsibility, and self-confidence. Through this process, participants gain skills that will help them become more independent in the future, explore their country, travel, and engage more actively in their communities.
Summer camp is also a community-building journey. Throughout the year, participants, counselors, families, and local supporters work together to raise the resources needed to make each camp possible. This shared effort fosters responsibility, initiative, and partnership, while highlighting the critical role of donors and supporters in ensuring that every child and young person can participate, regardless of their family's financial circumstances.
For many families, accessible summer experiences of this kind remain out of reach due to financial, logistical, and emotional challenges. At the same time, the camp provides parents and siblings with a meaningful respite from the intensive demands of daily caregiving, allowing them to spend time with other family members, recharge, and return strengthened.
Your support will enable children and youth with physical disabilities to participate in a safe, accessible, and empowering summer camp experience, giving them five unforgettable days of independence, friendship, personal growth, and achievement. Together, we can continue opening doors to opportunities that might otherwise remain inaccessible and help them discover that their potential extends far beyond the limitations they encounter.
