Donate to the Negev–Highlands Alliance Who We AreThe Negev–Highlands Alliance was established in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023 massacre. Residents of the Western Negev communities, including Be’eri and Nir Oz, joined together with residents of Gush Etzion and additional Religious-Zionist communities out of a shared conviction: although we carry different pains, losses, and life experiences—and often hold different views about Israel’s challenges and the paths forward—we remain bound by a covenant of mutual responsibility and brotherhood. We believe that this bond can help lead Israeli society through one of the deepest crises in its history. Why This Work MattersThe tragedy of October 7 exposed the devastating consequences of division and polarization within Israeli society. It underscored the urgent need to rebuild trust, strengthen social cohesion, and create a shared foundation for the future. To meet this challenge, we are working to offer a courageous alternative to the discourse of rivalry, coercion, and alienation that has weakened our collective resilience. Building a Third WayDriven by the belief that Israel’s future depends on our ability to come together across differences, we are developing a framework for a new social covenant—one rooted in trust, listening, and partnership. This covenant seeks to acknowledge the pain and experiences of all communities, while creating shared foundations for renewal, healing, and constructive engagement around the core issues facing Israeli society.
