It Matters.

How much more can we take? We all feel it, that inner voice crying out, "We have to do something!", that aching heart in the face of testimonies and reports telling us, "This is devastating, we can no longer look away." What we hear in the news is only the tip of the iceberg of what happens every single day. Field data shows that in an average classroom of 28 students, 4 experience severe sexual abuse. This isn't a movie. This is reality, and it is a story that affects us all. This year, as we enter an election year, it is clearer than ever that change is required to provide a proper response. We can no longer ignore it, and we are not moving on. At the Rape Crisis Center (Haifa and the North), we work every day to create a different reality. Over the past year, we handled and responded to over 13,000 requests for support, and over 15,000 people participated in our education and safety programs throughout the North. We are there providing personal guidance, an empathetic ear, and operating 24/7 hotlines, alongside expanding our dedicated WhatsApp helpline. In addition to our support services, we are deepening our work on the ground through training, safety education, and interactive workshops in schools and workplaces, all aimed at preventing the next assault. This campaign is our lifeline.
