Honoring the Egoz Heroes

They fought on the front lines, raided deep into enemy territory, and gave their lives so that we could live here in safety. ⚔️ Since October 7th, the Egoz family has lost its finest sons, heroes who fell in the battle for our home. Now, we have a moral obligation to stand by the bereaved families and pay the fallen the respect they deserve. The Egoz Unit memorial site urgently requires physical restoration and expansion so that we can build respectful memorial spaces for all the soldiers who have fallen since the beginning of the war. Help us build the sanctuary that will preserve their memory forever. They fought on the harshest front lines, raided deep into enemy territory, engaged the enemy fearlessly, and sacrificed their lives so that we—all of us—could continue to live here in safety. Since the events of October 7th and the heavy campaign that followed, the Egoz Unit has paid an unbearable price. New fallen soldiers have been added to the unit's ranks—its finest sons, the salt of the earth, fighters and commanders who were the pride of our youth, and who fell in fierce, heroic battles defending our home and homeland. Now, with the smoke of battle still in the air and hearts refusing to be comforted, an uncompromising moral, ethical, and national duty falls upon us—as a community and as a society: to stand as a solid wall beside the bereaved families, to embrace them in their darkest hours, and to ensure that the story of our loved ones' heroism is forever etched in the hearts of all Israeli citizens. The Egoz Unit memorial site, which serves as the heart of the unit's memory, heritage, and connection, is not just another monument—it is a living home of remembrance. In order to properly commemorate the 42 heroes who have joined the unit's bereaved family, the site now urgently requires comprehensive restoration, physical expansion, and grounds development. We must establish dignified, fitting, and moving memorial spaces for each and every one of the newly fallen soldiers, providing their families and friends with a worthy place for communion, comfort, and pride. This project is designed to ensure that the battle heritage, the camaraderie, and the values upon which the heroes of Egoz were raised will continue to resonate and educate future generations of warriors.
