Supporting The Equalizer - Sport for education, equality and social cohesion for Israel’s society

My name is Charlie Rich and I will become a Bar Mitzvah on October 17, 2026 I love playing soccer, basketball, and all sports, because it’s fun to compete, stay active, and run around with my friends. Soccer brings people together and teaches teamwork and respect, no matter where you’re from. I loved watching the World Cup and how it brought fans from around the world together to share in the sport. I have always enjoyed helping other people. I have struggled to understand why there is discrimination and why people cannot be kind to each other. I’ve learned in my studies for my Bar Mitzvah, that I have the opportunity to help make the world better. When I travelled to Israel I met Jewish families, Arab families, and Druze families that were living together focused on safe futures full of opportunity for their kids and family. That’s why I chose to support The Equalizer, so kids in Israel, who are from diverse backgrounds, can have the same chance to play soccer that I do. My donations will go to the Western Galilee, where Indianapolis has a partnership region. Together we can give Jewish and Arab kids an opportunity to make a better future. I am looking forward to going back to Israel again soon to visit my friend Enav who used to live with us, and to play soccer with the kids in the program.
