Supporting Women for a Sweeter World

The film Women For a Sweeter World tells the inspiring story of the Honey Women — women leaders from Jewish, Arab, Christian, and Druze communities who chose to come together, learn, and work side by side through the world of bees and natural beekeeping. Through the bees, something much bigger has emerged: connections between communities, women’s empowerment, cooperation, livelihoods, sustainability, food security, hope, and a foundation for living together. Directed by Ran Levy Yamamori, the film is about to embark on a series of screenings across the United States, including: • The international Learning From the Bees conference in Virginia — 2 screenings • American University in Washington, D.C. • Jewish communities in Virginia and Utah • The prestigious Jane Goodall Institute in Washington, D.C. We are traveling with the women — the charismatic leaders at the heart of this story — so that audiences in the United States can meet the Honey Women themselves and hear directly from them about the journey they have taken, the barriers they have overcome, and their belief in the power of cooperation.  They will be joined by the film’s director, Ran Levy Yamamori, and the founder of the program Yossi Aud.
