Donation for People Facing Mental Health Challenges - Color, Creativity, and Hope for the New Year

The Tishrei holidays are a time of new beginnings, but for people spending the holiday season in psychiatric hospitals, this period can be especially difficult. Days are spent within the same walls, far from home, family, and the holiday table. At moments like these, even a small gesture can remind someone that they are seen, cared for, and believed in. This year, LISHMA aims to provide 300 specially designed recovery journals to people hospitalized in psychiatric hospitals in Mazor, Be’er Sheva, and Abarbanel, with the hope of reaching additional psychiatric hospitals as well. Each package will include a personal journal - a space that belongs entirely to its recipient. A place to write down a thought, color a mandala, set a small goal, express what is on their mind, or simply dream. The package will also include pens, colored pencils, and small inspirational messages to accompany them along the way. LISHMA is an organization led by people with lived experience of mental health challenges, for people with lived experience. We believe in the power of people who have faced mental health challenges to play an active and meaningful role in recovery, change, and social impact. With your support, we can reach 300 people during the holiday season and offer each of them a small gift with a meaningful message: a personal space, a little color, and above all, the reminder that they are not alone.
