In October 2027, for the first time in more than half a century, the chamber orchestra and soloists of the Young Israel Philharmonic cross the Atlantic — performing in Concord, Boston, and New York, and at home in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. On these stages they show audiences the most beautiful face of Israel: young, brilliant, hopeful, and deeply human, speaking straight to the heart in the universal language of music. Their playing builds a living bridge between communities in Israel and the United States, and carries a tradition of musical greatness — from Bronfman and Shaham to Lahav Shani — proudly into the next generation. The Jerusalem Music Centre — founded by the legendary violinist Isaac Stern in 1973 and led today by pianist Murray Perahia — is Israel's national home for its most outstanding young musicians, and the home from which this historic first tour sets out.
