Support us in shaping the future of Israel's best young musicians The Jerusalem Music Centre is Israel's leading organization in  promoting and developing outstanding and gifted young musicians. Founded by legendary violinist Isaac Stern in 1973 and headed today by world-renowned pianist Murray Perahia, the Jerusalem Music centre is Israel's national centre for musical excellence. Join us in supporting outstanding young musicians in Israel, and make a real change in the future of music worldwide. Our purpose is: 1. To find, nurture and promote outstanding young musicians from throughout Israel, providing them with uniquely tailored programmes that hone their skills both as soloists, and as ensemble and orchestral players. 2. To support the musical and pedagogical development of instrumental teachers across the country, bringing them into contact with the world’s leading musicians and musical pedagogues. 3. To provide a musical centre of global stature at the heart of Israel’s capital, enriching the city and its residents through its world-class concert series. The Support A Young Musician Project aims to provide financial support for the JMC’s educational activities. We believe that Israel is a nation full of musical talent waiting to be discovered and developed, and for that purpose, the JMC continues to search out, educate and help these young talents to achieve the very highest level of playing and artistry. By helping us, you can enable a gifted young musician to experience:Orchestral training at the highest level as part of the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel's national youth orchestraChamber music training under the tutelage of the best chamber musicians in Israel and the WorldSoloist promotion programmes such as international masterclasses, and performance opportunities on Israel's most sought after stages.Our impressive graduate roaster includes musicians who now take leading positions in the international music business, leading orchestras, as professors and pedagogues, soloists or chamber musicians.
